Lillypilly Estate 1998 VP
Fortified wine made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chambourcin grapes.
TASTING NOTES: Dark red brick colour, ripe plum and aromatic berry. Mouth feel is warm, intense, silky and round. Shows great development from five years in oak barrels. The Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from our old vines planted in 1972. These low yielding vines produce deep intensely flavoured berries.
Chambourcin is a French/American hybrid grape that is charecterised by intense purple colours. The generous fruit flavours and sugar content of this early ripening variety has made its partnership with our Cabernet Sauvignon a harmonious one.
